6th Puerto Vallarta – Banderas Bay Tourist Route

On Saturday, March 23rd, the sixth edition of the Puerto Vallarta – Bahía de Banderas Tourist Route 2024 will take place, featuring an exciting long-distance cycling route that will start and finish at the city’s maritime terminal.

Roberto Palacios, the event organizer, announced that there will be three distances suitable for both road and mountain cyclists. Along the route, considered the region’s best recreational cycling event, there will be various hydration points and mechanical assistance available.

The Green Route, covering 21 kilometers, is designed for families, beginner cyclists, and wheelchair users. It will start at Puerto Mágico heading south, returning at the ‘Agustín Flores Contreras’ sports complex, then to the Las Juntas junction and back to Puerto Mágico.

The Black Route, spanning 72 kilometers, is aimed at intermediate cyclists. Participants will ride to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle in Bahía de Banderas, and on the return, they will enter Nuevo Nayarit.

Lastly, the Red Route, extending 100 kilometers, targets advanced cyclists. It will reach Punta de Mita, and on the way back, cyclists will also enter Nuevo Nayarit. The estimated duration is six hours.
