PV Reinforces Safety Measures for Holy Week and Easter 2025
To ensure the safety of both tourists and residents during the Holy Week and Easter 2025 holiday period, Puerto Vallarta is implementing a comprehensive security operation from April 11th to 27th. The initiative will deploy over 190 security and emergency personnel, coordinated by the Civil Protection and Fire Department, and will involve collaboration from all levels of government, emergency services, and private sector participation.
The operation will focus on monitoring popular beaches such as Playa de Oro, Holi, Camarones, Mismaloya, and Boca de Tomatlán, as well as the Mascota, Cuale, and Pitillal rivers, mountainous areas, and high-traffic locations including religious centers and recreational spaces.
To bolster security, resources such as ambulances, rescue units, watercraft, and all-terrain vehicles will be deployed, alongside Municipal Transit patrols and alcohol checkpoints. Tourist zones will also see increased oversight of commercial activities to ensure compliance with permits and operating hours, and heightened cleaning efforts to manage increased waste.
Authorities are urging the public to adhere to safety regulations, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, closely supervise children and seniors, refrain from lighting bonfires in forest areas, and follow the instructions of emergency personnel. The municipal government has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting both locals and visitors by implementing this extensive operation to prevent incidents and ensure a safe holiday period.
