NET Zero Terminal Takes Shape in PVR
The Puerto Vallarta International Airport is undergoing a significant transformation with the construction of a new Terminal 2. This state-of-the-art facility is set to become the first in Latin America to achieve NET Zero certification, meaning it will be designed to produce net-zero carbon emissions.
The new terminal will span an impressive 74,936 square meters, with an additional 83,387 square meters dedicated to aircraft parking. The five-story building will feature eight contact gates, providing ample space for passengers and aircraft.
The expansion project is being carried out in collaboration with the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), one of the leading airport operators in Latin America. With this latest development, Puerto Vallarta is poised to further strengthen its position as a premier tourist destination in Mexico.
