Puerto Vallarta Opens Modernized Passport Office

Puerto Vallarta has inaugurated a new, modernized Municipal Liaison Office (OME) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), located within the Puerto Mágico shopping center. This new facility aims to provide a more comfortable and accessible space for citizens to process their passport applications.

The state-of-the-art office features four interview windows, a document review station, two biometric processing areas, and a treasury cashier. Additionally, the facility includes a children’s area, a lactation room, and a spacious waiting area. Celina Lomelí, the office director, stated that they serve approximately 80 pre-scheduled appointments daily, with passport pick-up available within four to five business days.

The new passport office is located within Puerto Mágico, at Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio km 4.5, Av. Heroica Escuela Naval #30 interior II, in the North Hotel Zone. The office operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
