Puerto Vallarta’s Full of Clean Beaches

Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks, conducted a sanitary study along the coasts of our country and confirmed that 263 beaches are suitable for swimming and fishing in Mexico, 10 of which are located in Puerto Vallarta.

Recently, the Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (COFEPRIS) (Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks), conducted a sanitary study along the coasts of our country (comprising more than 6,835 miles) and confirmed that 263 beaches are suitable for swimming and fishing in Mexico, 10 of which are located in Puerto Vallarta.

his way, the cleanest beaches in Mexico that are in Puerto Vallarta and that proudly belong to this classification are: Camarones, Cuale, Gemelas, Las Ánimas, Los Muertos, Mismaloya, Oasis, Palmares, Quimixto and Yelapa.

According to the Secretaría de Salud (Ministry of Health) criteria, in order to be considered as one of the cleanest beaches in Mexico, ocean water must have less than 200 units of enterococci bacteria per 100 milliliters of water.
