Vallarta Botanical Gardens One of the Best in North America

The Vallarta Botanical Gardens were chosen as one of the 10 Best Botanical gardens in North America, according to the newspaper USA Today’s in their 10best.com website, which focuses on travel & lifestyle.

There are natural beauties in the world that are worthy of being recognized, and one of them is what Puerto Vallarta has: the Botanical Garden, which won a place as one of the 10 best in North America according to a contest held by the newspaper Usa Today, in which the voters were only the readers of the medium, travelers, bloggers and nature lovers.

To choose the 20 gardens that would participate in a first stage, a group of newspaper editors and expert panelists met, among them Cindy Brockway (The Trustees), Mommy Nearest, Kyle McCarthy (Family Travel Forum), Eileen Ogintz (Taking the Kids), Abby Meyer (Botanic Gardens Conservation International-US), and Katy Moss Warner (American Horticultural Society), who stand out for their experience in botany.

After the vote made online and in which only the public had the last word, it was announced that the Botanical Garden of Puerto Vallarta won place 4 of the nomination thanks to the wide variety of flora and fauna that inhabit a space of 46 hectares, in which orchids and birds are the main attraction of world tourists. Some of the finalists were Longwood Gardens – Kennett Square, Penn Minnesota Landscape Arboretum – Chaska, Minn, Missouri Botanical Garden – St. Louis, Denver Botanic Gardens – Denver and the Atlanta Botanical Garden – Atlanta, to name a few.
