Don’t miss the Ceviche & Aguachile Festival Sunday, July 31, in Puerto Vallarta

On Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Puerto Mágico, hundreds of locals and visitors are anticipated to attend the twelfth edition of the Festival del Ceviche y Aguachile. Puerto Vallarta restaurants are already prepared to serve them.

Everyone is welcome to come out and sample two of the most popular meals in the city, ceviche and aguachile, at extremely affordable prices.

Fresh fish or shrimp are “cooked” (marinated) in lime juice with tomatoes, onions, and green chilies to create Ceviche, a typical Mexican dish. However, the recipe from Puerto Vallarta differs slightly from those found in other places. Carrots, cucumber, cilantro, and other ingredients are frequently added to the mixture in the Banderas Bay region.

Aguachile is the second traditional meal that will be available at participating establishments. The most traditional variation, which is similar to ceviche, includes fresh, raw shrimp, cucumber, red onion, lime juice, and chiles (usually serrano or jalapeo) that have been ground with some water, hence the name. It is typically served with tostadas, avocado, beer, and tequila.
