Puerto Vallarta starts the year off on the right foot

During the first holiday weekend of the year, it is expected that Puerto Vallarta will surpass 90% occupancy, reaching up to 92% from February 3rd to 5th, according to projections from the Federal Ministry of Tourism (Sectur). This would position this tourist destination at the top nationally.

Sectur estimates an economic impact of 46,647 million pesos across the country during this period, corresponding to the anniversary of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States. The arrival of approximately 1,415,000 tourists to hotels is anticipated, representing a 99.2% recovery compared to the same holiday period in 2019.

Puerto Vallarta will stand out with an average occupancy of 92%, significantly exceeding the national forecast of 62% by the Ministry of Tourism. Other tourist destinations expected to have high occupancy rates include Nuevo Nayarit (91.7%), Riviera Maya (87.8%), Cancun (81.4%), Los Cabos (81%), and Huatulco (74.8%).
