The closure of the year 2023 in Puerto Vallarta will be marked by the arrival of 176 cruise ships

The conclusion of the year will witness a total of 176 cruise arrivals, bringing with them approximately half a million international cruise passengers.

From January to December, Puerto Vallarta will have hosted 176 cruises from around ten international lines, with over 470 thousand people on board. This tourist influx translates into a significant economic contribution, considering that each cruise passenger has an average expenditure of $120 in the city.

In the final phase of the year, 13 arrivals are anticipated, a considerably lower number compared to the rest of the year. This decrease is due to the cancellation, for maintenance reasons, of the Panorama cruise ship, a vessel that typically visits this tourist destination weekly.

Until October of the current year, over 456 thousand cruise passengers had already visited the city, according to data provided by the Secretary of Tourism Jalisco (Secturjal).

It is noteworthy that the shipping industry contributes to 9 percent of the total tourists arriving in Puerto Vallarta, highlighting the positive positioning of the sector in attracting tourism.
