Aeromar adds new flights between Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara

Residents of Guadalajara may now access the beach with even greater ease.

With up to five flights per day from Guadalajara International Airport to the tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta, residents of Guadalajara will soon have improved access to the Pacific coast.

Starting on July 11, Aeromar will increase its flight capacity on the route by 20%, offering up to 7,500 seats monthly between the two cities.

According to a statement from the state of Jalisco, one-way tickets will cost 899 pesos ($45 USD). For beachgoers, flights are a desirable alternative to bus travel, which can cost up to 680 pesos ($34) with the industry leader Primera Plus and take six hours as opposed to a 45-minute trip.

Tourists have a lot to choose from in Puerto Vallarta, according to state tourism minister Vanessa Pérez Lamas. “This is fantastic news for travelers because there will be a significant increase in the number of seats and scheduled flights, allowing them to reach Puerto Vallarta and its stunning beaches, mouthwatering cuisine, in addition to the destination’s cultural and commercial experiences, in less than an hour. Increasing the route’s frequency will help us.

With a fleet of ten aircraft, Aeromar serves 19 domestic destinations as well as Havana, Cuba, McAllen, and Laredo in Texas via three international routes.
