Everything ready to go from the new port in San Blas to Islas Marías

Everything is practically on the table for the Marías Islands tourism project to start, where a network of ferries will be inaugurated to take travelers from the Mexican Pacific coast to the historic Marías archipelago.

On April 8, the first ship destined for this activity, the Isla María Madre, will set sail from the new port of San Blas to complete the first trip.

In San Blas, the federal government built a new port terminal and dredged the sea to make room for the arrival of ferries.

The first ferry has already arrived in San Blas and is moored there waiting for the date, it is a military-built ship adapted and operated by the Secretary of the Navy, whose name bears the same name as Maria Madre Island, to which it will take.

In the latter, the pier and the port have also been adapted to receive tourism, there is a reception center, hiking trails, and there will be an offer of rooms to stay 1 or 2 nights, as well as enabled and adapted historical sites, in addition to the Cultural center.

In the same sense, Grupo Vidanta will operate two other ferries to carry tourism from San Blas and Mazatlán. News that becomes of great importance, remembering that recently the hotel group also launched its own cruise between Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, which will also set sail with trips in April.
