April 17 day of the National Oyster Festival 2022

The introduction of the Bucerías National Oyster Festival 2022 took place on Wednesday. The festival is supposed to aid in the economic revitalization of Bucerias.

This festival, which is already a tradition in the region but was halted owing to the COVID-19 pandemic scenario, will take place on April 17, 2019.

“We cordially invite all residents of the 36 towns of Bahia de Banderas, as well as all municipalities in the state of Nayarit. The awnings will be installed by the XI City Council. We want this to be more than simply a festival; we want it to be a place where people can appreciate what Bucerias does while also reactivating the economy” Villalvazo, the mayor, stated.

The 2022 Bucerias National Oyster Festival will begin at 12 noon on Easter Sunday and will also include a sampling and sale of gastronomic products from Bahia de Banderas. Things at the event will be livened up by the Municipal Orchestra and a local band, and will end with a cumbia group, with the presence of a surprise artist too.

The local official went on to state that the Buceras National Oyster Festival 2022 will be a family affair, framed by a Guelaguetza (an annual indigenous cultural event in Mexico) on the town square. She stated that the oysters harvested in Bahia de Banderas account for 36% of output in the state of Nayarit, and that in 2019, approximately 870 tonnes were produced.
