Puerto Vallarta, among the favorite beaches for American tourists

The top ten winter vacation hotspots for the American market include Puerto Vallarta.

According to a survey done by the company Allianz Partners, which has more than 60 years of expertise in the industry and specializes in travel insurance, road, home, and medical support, as well as administrative services,

Two Mexican beach destinations, Cancun and Los Cabos, are at the top of the list, but Puerto Vallarta is not one of them. This clearly illustrates the trend that has emerged in recent years, which is also evident in the statistics for air tourism, as the Southern California destination has long since supplanted the Jalisco destination in that category.

The survey, titled “Top 10 U.S. Vacation Destinations,” placed Mexico in first place for the second year in a row for luring the most American tourists during the winter vacations.

Allianz Partners discovered that Mexico was the only nation with three locations on the list when examining the flight itineraries of American tourists: Cancun (number one), Los Cabos (number two), and Puerto Vallarta (number five).

Besides Puerto Vallarta, the list also contains Nassau, Punta Cana, Oranjestad, Providenciales, and Paris, with London coming in third and Montego Bay coming in fourth.

These American vacationers will be among the 11% of Americans who will go abroad before the year is out.

The company’s Migration Policy Unit estimates that, from January to September 2022, there will be around 10 million air arrivals of Americans traveling to Mexico, a 36% increase over the same period in 2021.

The profile of tourists is also much more aware, demanding, and circumspect, as Allianz Partners Mexico has noticed, in an effort to prevent unanticipated incidents from ruining their trips. The study by Allianz Partners was created by analyzing more than 2.8 million flight schedules of American tourists who were scheduled to travel between December 17 and December 29, 2022. According to this report, overall vacation-related search volume climbed by 17% from 2021 to today.
