14th Guayabitos Artistic and Cultural Festival

Every Saturday of February the stage in the main plaza of Riviera Nayarit’s heart will display different cultural and artistic demonstrations for the delight of everyone assisting.

Dr. Alejandro Rafael Chávez Bustos, President of the Compostela Municipality Hotel Association, noted 2019 marks the festival’s fourteenth edition, inviting the general public to come and enjoy for free the different shows and presentations that have been prepared, he explained the event is organized by the association he presides with the support of the state’s government through the Tourism Promotion Trust of Nayarit, which helps boost the tourism in the region.

The Guayabitos Artistic and Cultural Festival began this past Saturday, February 2^nd, with the performances of guitarist Silverio Jimenez and his group Los Hijos del Ahuizote, plus the Mariachi Joya de Mexico, and for next Saturday, February 9, activities will start with ComposRock y once again Los Hermanos Aguascalientes and their International Violins, who have proven their interpretative capabilities on our stage before.

For February 16 we’ll welcome Mexican folklore in our Festival with the TinToc Ballet plus the Falsa Orquesta Cubana will get people dancing and to close out the event on February 23 we’ll have Grupo Arcano, the siblings from the city of Tepic, Nayarit will perform their modern take on violin music with a special set they’ve prepared for the occasion.
