Crowded attendance at the start of the Via Recreativa

The families of Vallarta experienced a great sports and artistic party during the inauguration of the ‘Vía Recreativa’, which week after week will be held on the Grandes Lagos avenue in the Fluvial Vallarta neighborhood, to promote health, sports and , recreation and healthy coexistence.

With the representation of the municipal president, Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez, the councilor Sara Mosqueda Torres, celebrated the start of “an activity that will undoubtedly fill our city with life. We are clear that this activity will bring great benefits to everyone, that it will become one of the favorite moments of all Vallartans.”

He stressed that this route invites everyone to participate in outdoor activities such as walking, running, biking, skating, among others, in a daily scenario that we usually rush through by car to attend to our occupations, but in this case, it allows enjoy a different landscape, with family or friends, and in a fun way; and likewise, it invites us to leave the vehicle stored at home and give our port a break. “We definitely seek to continue transforming our city into a healthy, safe place for the whole family, with sports and cultural activities that enrich our society.”

The interim director of the Municipal Sports Council (COMUDE), Jesús Villa Aguilar, recalled that the objective of this project “is to provide a space for family coexistence. The Municipal Sports Council listens and attends to the needs of those who want to see a better Vallarta. Thank you very much for coming to enjoy the first day of the ‘Vía Recreativa’ with your family, we will continue working to create better spaces to promote sport, because it is the best ally for health and addiction prevention.”

Similarly, the president of the Fluvial Vallarta Neighborhood Board, Luis Ignacio Zúñiga Bobadilla, expressed his satisfaction that it is in this neighborhood where this important project is resumed. “Without a doubt at this time that society is facing important challenges, contributing in favor of a project of this family unit, of coexistence, of rescuing spaces”, which he said is possible thanks to the sum of efforts of councilors, officials and the community in general that enjoys and appropriates public spaces for their use.

As part of this first day of activities, there was the participation of singers who gave a joyful touch to this Sunday walk, as well as the COMUDE Sports Initiation schools, which gave a clear example of the talent and discipline of the minors and of the young people who are preparing here. Also, a cultural flea market was installed with local entrepreneurs, which enriched this event.

Aldermen, directors of the different areas of the municipality, military authorities and special guests, were in charge of cutting the inaugural ribbon of this road.
